Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modeling professional career in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film role. The struggle she had to get a part in Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was a gruelling battle. In the beginning, it was hard for Amy switching from modeling to acting. It's because the majority of models aren't great actors. And they are usually assigned small and insignificant role. Amy did not give up and eventually she landed bigger roles in the films Varsity Blues and The 70s. Then she stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy attained the fame she'd been seeking for nearly 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. She did some big films within the Crank trilogy opposite Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character in the Shameless series.
