Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She was the founder of The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, television personality, philanthropist as well as the founder and editor of The Huffington Post. When she moved to England from Greece at the age of 16, she received a MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. The famous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first presidency and she did it before the age of 21. In the years following the graduation ceremony, she was an influential right-wing syndicated reporter. A few more years later she created The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current political landscape. The celebrity she enjoyed helped her to convince several stars to voice their views regarding current affairs, the culture and politics. Arianna gained notoriety in 2003 when she ran as an independent in the California recall elections in order to replace Governor Davis. Additionally, she led the Detroit Project for fuel-efficient cars. Forbes named her one of the "most powerful woman" in the media industry with her ranking at the 12th spot. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 most influential media people in 2009. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was made president of this media group. The acquisition included a number of AOL products at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter of Konstantinos the manager's advisor as well as journalist. Her life was shaped through her relationship with her mother, and the bond she shared with her dad, despite being extremely close to the latter. When she was a teen she demonstrated leadership skills that she's still known for. In the year she turned 16, she moved from America to United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. As a student she was a member of the Cambridge Union's college debating societies where she eventually became its first foreign female president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was conferred. She became a writer, a critic, a TV host as well as a columnist following her graduation. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing her own books with his help.
