Despacito is a hit song from Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi with Daddy Yankee was released in the year 2017. It was the top one streamed music at that time within six month. The single Despacito, a mixture of reggaeton with pop music has not just brought fresh attention to reggaeton music but also brought more attention to Latin music. The Billboard Top 100 featured two songs which were Spanish mostly, and four in 2016. The Despacito song was at its peak popularity in 2017 however 19 mostly Spanish songs made it into the Top 100, and in 2020 there were 41 songs. Justin Bieber's remix in two languages Despacito was released in 2017. After that, some of the most famous artists began collaborating with reggaeton artists. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny to create MIA (2018) as well as Madonna collaborated with Maluma to create Medellin. Some reggaeton artists expressed their displeasure at the rise of popular music by 2020. However, a brand new band, Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the development and growth of reggaeton. He used elements from other genres and electronic music.
